What are Honeycomb Blinds?
For those with insulation as the prime requisite for a single blind, it’s hard to look past a Honeycomb blind. Often also referred to as Cellular or Honeycell blinds, this style of blind utilises 2 or more layers of fabric that are fused together in strategic horizontal lines that form air cells when in the down position and pleat up to be flat in the up position. Two layers will form a single cell and 3 layers will form a double cell.

They are still effective when fitted in a face mounted situation but work to their best advantage when inside a window recess. Honeycomb blinds require little clearance from the side of the recess which helps stop the air inside the cells from circulating; and therefore keeping the room at a lovely consistent temperature. Being hung inside the window frame will also protect the edges of the fabric and help prevent insects from entering the cells.
